Discover the Soul of Indonesia and Pakistan
Your trip with Asian Travel Pioneers is more than just sightseeing. It turns into a means of preserving culture, empowering communities, and developing the local economy
Our philosophy is simple:
“While you enjoy your holiday, you support the local economy”
Outsiders own the hotels and restaurants in several well-known tourist destinations. The local population is frequently left with the waste and excluded from the advantages. We were once told by someone in Swat: "We're left with the garbage after the tourists leave."
We think the tourism industry can do better. For this reason, we connect directly with local communities in Pakistan and Indonesia to create a brand-new, genuine, and real experience.
Imagine waking up in a traditional wooden and stone home in Passu, an old village in front of the Hunza River that is surrounded by apple orchards. The bedspread- handmade. The furniture- crafted by local carpenters and the walls that share stories through painted art.
This is not just a place to stay — it’s a home filled with history, culture, and community.
With the assistance of historical architects and local artisans, our Bed & Breakfast model transforms traditional homes into comfortable guesthouses. One family in Passu even requested that we create a museum out of their grandfather's home!
Local Homes, Local Livelihoods
Empowering Local Voices and Skills
Your hosts are not simply innkeepers. They are storytellers, cooks, tour guides, and craftspeople. Take a dancing or meditation class in a community facility designed for everyone, learn to cook in Kalash, or work with clay in a pottery session.
In particular, we help young women develop their confidence and potential by assisting them in becoming guides, business owners, and even mountaineers
Using rice sacks and used plastic, women in the Swat Valley create vibrant baskets. Swabi uses waste resources to create beautiful handcrafted items. Traditional batik is still made by hand by women in Java, a craft that has been handed down through generations. Your visit enables these ladies to share their art with the world and give it life.
Indonesia: From Island Life to Rainforests
Meet the Dayak tribes and discover verdant landscapes in Kalimantan. Enjoy the friendly hospitality of the locals while unwinding on the white sand beaches of the Maluku islands.
Learn the craft of batik from ladies in a hamlet that has been doing it for centuries, and stroll with rice farmers in the early morning mist in Java.
Craft, Culture & Conservation
We develop homestay programs in KP Province in collaboration with the local government. We encourage young people from Kalimantan and Saparua to participate in training workshops on small business and ecotourism. We are working together to create a new tourism future. One in which communities flourish and tourists develop stronger bonds with the locals and destinations they visit.
Join the Movement
We extend an invitation to impact investors, development organizations, and financing partners to help with this exciting project. For the benefit of future generations, let us preserve the natural beauty and cultural legacy of Gilgit-Baltistan, the Swat Valley, and beyond.
The Road To New Tourism
Uplifting Women
Beyond linking travelers and communities, our campaign actively promotes women's empowerment. We give complete training programs in KP Province, Kalimantan, and Saparua. The programs teach local women the necessary skills to become effective tour guides, hospitality providers, and successful entrepreneurs.
Our commitment has taken effect off: we proudly held our first women-led tour, with an all-female group giving an engaging experience. Furthermore, in Khanpur, we've helped creative young women, such as one who makes gorgeous garments, sell their works so they may support their families and siblings.
By encouraging their leadership and economic independence, we ensure that tourism benefits families directly and strengthens the fabric of their communities.
